§ 01

A fund is a technology company that has decided to be measured in basis points. We already build the correlation and coordination layers; Capital is what happens when they are aimed at price rather than uptime.

CN Solar Capital manages client money using strategies and infrastructure developed inside the group. The signal tooling, the execution discipline, and the risk instrumentation are ours rather than licensed, which is the only reason a fund this size can run them at all.

It is also among the first pilot users of the Consensus Data Terminal, building risk analytics on the belief corpus. We want to be precise about what that does and does not mean: neither the corpus nor RACD is a material driver of the fund's results today. Both are early, one is still a research programme, and the fund is simply a willing first customer with an unusually short feedback loop.

Capital is deliberately walled off from the operating companies. Its revenue, profits, and the capital it manages are reported separately and are excluded from every group figure published on this site.
